Andromeda Puzzle

A six-piece burr puzzle that transcends traditional geometry. The Andromeda's identical interlocking components form a structure that exists between sphere and polyhedron—neither, and both. Its anodized black aluminum finish catches light across near-fractal surfaces, revealing subtle spirals and shifting symmetries as you rotate it. Heat-treated aluminum construction echoes precision manufacturing found in modern technology, while its hidden geometries recall patterns from cellular to cosmic scales.

Multiple axes of symmetry make solving deliberately challenging; the solution may emerge or vanish entirely. Dense, deliberate, and satisfyingly difficult. Designed by George I. Bell.
